Week 1: Start or Sit

I apologize for this being so late in the week, but you still have time to set your lineups. I considered trying to make this post really pretty with starts and sits (I actually started writing it Monday night and fell asleep instead), but I think this blog is going to do what it does best. Give you numbers and my two-cents.There is really nothing flashy here. I tried to make this a popular blog for a while, but now I'm more interested in being right than being popular. If I can't do that (be right), what's the point of having a blog? BTW, there is this great website where you can post questions for the greater fantasy football community to answer for you. I have answered all of the questions they have, so maybe some people who read this blog can pass along the word. Finally, these rankings are going to be bare. Just a list of names in order from highest to lowest, with different predicted point ranges.

Quarterbacks:

Over 18 Points
  • Drew Brees
  • Matthew Stafford
  • Tom Brady
  • Jay Cutler
  • Aaron Rodgers
Between 15 and 18 points
  • Robert Griffin III
  • Philip Rivers
  • Matt Ryan
  • Cam Newton
  • Blaine Gabbert
  • Peyton Manning
  • Mike Vick
 Between 12 and 15 Points
  • Sam Bradford
  • Russell Wilson
  • Matt Schaub
  • Joe Flacco
  • Josh Freeman
  • Andrew Luck
  • Alex Smith
Everyone else I'm projecting under 12 points, and they shouldn't be started where possible.

Running Backs:

Over 16 Points
  • Arian Foster (assuming he plays)
  • Matt Forte
  • Steven Jackson
  • LeSean McCoy
  • Darren McFadden
 Between 12 and 16 Points
  • Ray Rice
  • Chris Johnson
  • Marshawn Lynch (if he gets a 100% start)
  • Doug Martin
  • Michael Turner
  • Kevin Smith
  • Steven Ridley
Between 8 and 12 Points
  • Donald Brown

  • Darren Sproles
  • Fred Jackson
  • DeAngelo Williams
  • Cedric Benson
  • Ronnie Brown
  • Reggie Bush
  • Ben Tate
  • Steven Ridley

Undoubtedly there will be 1-2 surprises on this list. My bet would be Peyton Hillis.

  • Jordy Nelson
  • Marques Colston

  • Danny Amendola
  • Dwayne Bowe
  • Wes Welker
  • Eddie Royal
  • Alshon Jeffery
  • Devery Henderson

This List is NOT All-Inclusive, but these are the WRs I would consider starting.

Best of luck to everyone in their contests this week!
